TIM HAMM The Blazing Meadows Farm team, led by trainer Timothy E. Hamm, has six licensed trainers on staff with a combined 150 years experience in the thoroughbred horse industry and the development of young thoroughbred horses. The two-year old operation has over 80 two-year old stake winners. The yearling/two-year old pin hooking operation has been profitable since the year of inception in 1999. Blazing Meadows Farm has built a reputation for selling sound, talented, young thoroughbreds at two-year-old public auction. Their clients have gone on to win multiple Grade 1 races and Eclipse Awards with the horses that went through our two-year old breaking/training program. The integrity, results and profitability of the two-year old thoroughbreds that went through the Blazing Meadows Farm program are undeniable.

TOM HAMM Tom grew up on a small horse farm near Youngstown, Ohio. He was introduced to the thoroughbred industry at a young age when his father was racing horses at Waterford Park (now Mountaineer Race Track). Tom has over 25 years of experience in the thoroughbred industry. A graduate of The Western Reserve Institute Police Academy in 1991 and former Police officer. Tom decided to pursue a career change in 1995 into the thoroughbred industry as an Assistant Trainer for his brother Tim Hamm. He remained with Tim Hamm Racing Stables until August of 2006 when he accepted a position as a Divisional Yearling Manager with Taylor Made Farm. Tom was promoted to the General Farm Manager in 2011 and remained with Taylor Made until the summer of 2017. Additional experience includes General Manager of Breeding Operations at Woodford Thoroughbreds and his current position of Director of Stallion Nominations & Sales with Three Chimney’s Farm.
Michael J. Stone Mike grew up in the small town of Burton, Ohio. He graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a Civil Engineering degree. While at Case, Mike was a member and served terms as Vice President and President of the Sigma Nu fraternity. Mike worked for 32 years as a highway engineer for Geauga County in Ohio, working his way up from the only staff engineer to Deputy County Engineer. While working for the Geauga County Engineer’s Office, he served on the Technical Advisory Committee for the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency which included two (2) terms as Chairman. This agency made decisions regarding which roadway and transit projects would receive federal aid funding in the surrounding five (5) county Cleveland area. Other leadership roles have included being a member and Past President of the Berkshire School Board in Burton for ten (10) years. Mike had a thoroughbred horse business in the early 2000s in Ohio where he did accomplish one stakes win. He enjoyed claiming and racing horses after becoming successful at wagering on the sport. Mike has retired to Ocala Florida, but currently returned to the thoroughbred industry and owns a Limited Liability Company named Forward & Left Stables, LLC that involves consulting, owning, pinhooking and racing thoroughbred horses.

Shane Hamm Growing up on a thoroughbred broodmare farm in Youngstown Ohio, horse racing has been in his blood since day one. Being introduced to the horses at a very young age, Shane fell in love with the sport of thoroughbred racing early on. The exhilarating crowds and fierce competition instantly captured Shane’s attention. Competition has always been a central focus of his life, competing for multiple state titles and at the highest levels of collegiate athletics. Competing in the SEC, playing football for the University of Kentucky has led to his two passions coming together in Lexington, Kentucky! Using this love for thoroughbred racing and the competitive drive developed through athletics has led to early success in his young career in the thoroughbred industry.
